Continuing to look forward to that touch of clarity you provide in this tempest of a world we live in. I suspect we’ll all appreciate it against the backdrop of 2024. Happy Holidays, Kirsten!

I’ve loved being a part of your Substack and it’s great to hear that it’s grown. When you used to be on CNN, I remember often feeling like you were talking directly to me, and it’s a talent you’ve brought to your pages here too. All the best in 2024!

Thought provoking, challenging, “things I can’t say out loud but want to”… A couple articles are still an enigma to me but made me think. Some I reread time and again like a good book. Some I’ve read to others. The “do it scared” article is something I’ve shared a lot (though from experience, toast masters - works great, jumping out of a plane - not so much). All to say, sorry, no specific topics but only because it’s always interesting to see where you go next. (Free flowing streams are best left undisturbed or something like that... :)

Kirsten,

As an ex-pat colleague in another country, Mexico, (you guessed where), we're connected that way and probably numerous others. I think folks in the U.S. are not only interested in why we have moved out beyond the borders and what it's like but wondering if they could even consider leaving the comfort and security of where they are. Why disrupt my life at this point in time? There's a list of questions and then there are those for whom it's not even a consideration. We have had an adventurous spirit and life prior to our move south so this, from our perspective, is one more adventure. I don't write a lot about our ex-pat life although I could and maybe I will. I comment on the political miasma from time to time and I continue to blog on other topics as I have for the past 12 years and published a couple of books along the way.

I look forward to your newsletter in 2024 and am sending wishes to you and yours for a happy, productive, joyful and more peaceful year.

Thank you for changing the channel in a more “soul enriching” direction. Many of your writings have helped me immensely. This includes your reflections on the Enneagram; church clarity about its position on LGBTQ, and how to connect more with nature and the lunar cycles - to name but a few themes. Looking forward to reading more in 2024!
